#41 - Doctor Fernando Buendia Olivarez, Doctor Terror (character available)
Motto:
When two aches occur together, but not in the same location, the one most violent obscures the other.
(Hippocrates of Kos) Alignment: The regime - Group: The Military - Nationality: Chile - Gender: Male - Player's Age: any age - DISCLAIMER: Disclaimer:
The characters and the stories presented in DESAPARECIDOS are inspired by people and real facts, but their description and characterization is totally the result of imagination.
In the writing of the event numerous liberties have been taken, especially as regards the characterization of the characters, the images used and the succession of the various events, which never claim to reflect the reality of the facts or behavior of historical characters.
The interpretation of the players and the evolution of the narrative will lead to moments and events quite distant from historical reality.
It is not intention of the authors to express any specific position or to make judgments on specific facts that actually occurred -except to condemn the use of any form of violence by anyone- nor to diminish in any way the historical and personal tragedy of the Chilean people and thousands of families involved in the drama of the desaparecidos.
Teaser:
Dr. Buendia Olivarez used his knowledge and undoubted qualities as best he could, and got into DINA. Educated and polite, he could have aspired to something more, some would say, but what Fernando has always sought was peace, living with few troubles. Had he not been a doctor, he'd still have been a bad man, a bad father, or a bad husband. Knowing it, he did one good thing in his life, forsaking those who loved him, to safely operate without worrying about hurting someone. This might not be his most sought ambition, but certainly, in a world where terror reigns, is the easiest thing to pursue.
Relations:
Amalia de Villa Gonzales asked him to work in a clinic for the poor. He laughed at her: he’s too busy for such things. Doctor Romero is a colleague and former university classmate, but when you make different choices in life, you grow apart. Felix Cristobal has no critical sense and is unfit for the job, no matter how he keeps trying teaching him.
#70 - Teresa Orosio Navarro, Pain and pleasure (character available)
Motto:
Man is sometimes extraordinarily, passionately, in love with suffering.
(Fedor Dostoevskij) Alignment: The regime - Group: The Military - Nationality: Chile - Gender: Female - Player's Age: any age - DISCLAIMER: Disclaimer:

Teaser:
Why are they afraid of pain? If their skin screams in pain and blisters open, they are still alive. They should be listening to their pain, to the adrenaline pumping into their hearts, to the cold sweat dripping, to the quick, broken breath. To stop feeling, to stop the wailing, the crying, is to die. There is no silence or peace on this earth. Sometimes Teresa, DINA agent, wonders who is screaming, for the piercing cries of strangers mingle with her own.
Relations:
Basclay Zapata is her long awaited perverse angel, the one promising intoxicating pain. Looking at Felicitas Olderock is like looking into a foggy mirror: she’s everything Teresa has run from. Paul Schafer has came from her past either to kill her or to redeem her.
